My Writeoffs is a personal expense tracker. We keep things small on purpose.
What we store
- Your name, email, time zone, and sign-in settings
- Entities, categories, expenses (dates, amounts, merchants, notes, mileage), and optional receipt files you upload
- Security logs (sign-ins, emails sent) with hashed IPs—not browsing history
What we don't do
- No ads, no trackers, no sale of your data
- We never email your accountant or anyone else about your expenses unless you export and send it yourself
- Receipts are only available when you are signed in
We email you sign-in links and security notices (for example, when two-step sign-in changes). Transactional only.
Your controls
Download a CSV of your expenses anytime in Settings. Delete your account there too—expenses and receipts are removed right away (server backups roll off within about 30 days).
